VIRTUAL ZOOM MEETING ON SEPTEMBER 29, 2020

For our first fall virtual meeting, the Broadway Association welcomed Kathryn Wylde, President & CEO of the Partnership for New York City, who discussed the Partnership’s September 10th letter to Mayor Bill de Blasio, which had been signed by over 160 New York City business leaders, pledging their commitment to the city and asking that action be taken on public safety and various quality of life issues that currently jeopardize economic recovery and to ensure the well-being of the city’s business community. Broadway Association member Lee Perlman, Executive Vice President, Administration & Chief Financial Officer of the Greater New York Hospital Association and Chair of the Berkshire Theatre Group, also began the meeting by providing a briefing on this summer’s production of Godspell, which became an outstanding model for outdoor theater as one of America’s first Actor’s Equity approved outdoor stagings of a musical since the COVID-19 pandemic shuttered theatres around the world this past spring. To watch the September meeting, please click HERE.
