For the first luncheon of the fall, the Broadway Association had a packed program. In celebration of NYC Tourism + Conventions Off-Broadway Week, we were thrilled to welcome Off-Broadway’s newest theater, AMT Theater to join us to speak about their latest production, Bettinger’s Luggage, with playwright Al Tapper and director Steven Ditmyer.

For our featured speaker, the Broadway Association was honored to welcome Drama Desk Award and Outer Critics Circle Award winner, acclaimed writer and lyricist Bruce Sussman, to preview his and writing partner, Barry Manilow’s, upcoming Broadway show, Harmony at the Barrymore Theatre. Moderating the discussion was Emmy Award-winning, legendary New York television news anchor and host of WPIX-TV’s “Positively America,” Ernie Anastos.

The Broadway Association, founded in 1911, is a not-for-profit business association devoted to the cultural and economic betterment of midtown west, which comprises the Broadway theater district. Our members include property owners, major corporations, hotels, advertisers, unions, civic associations, theater companies, developers, banks, law firms, airlines and publishers. The Association works together with other civic, cultural and business organizations and with the City to upgrade services in the Broadway Theater District, helping to foster the healthy climate that ushered in the development renaissance we currently enjoy.
