LUNCHEON AT SARDI’S ON MAY 30, 2024

The Broadway Association held its members only annual Public Safety Update. Joining for the discussion were NYPD Captain Nicholas Minor, newly appointed commanding officer of the Times Square Unit, New York City Sheriff Anthony Miranda, New York City Council Member of District 6 and Oversight and Investigations Committee Chair, Gale Brewer, who discussed Operation Padlock to Protect, a sustained multi-agency enforcement action to shut down illegal smoke and cannabis shops across the five boroughs. Council Member Brewer shared hers and her staff’s efforts in closing unlicensed and illegal cannabis stores within her district, profiled in the New York Times. Moderating the discussion was Restaurant Critic and Commercial Real Estate Columnist for the New York Post, Steve Cuozzo.

The Broadway Association also recognized Fred Dixon, former President & CEO of NYC Tourism + Conventions, for his tremendous dedication, commitment, and impact on New York City tourism, prior to beginning his his new role as President of Brand USA this July.
