The Broadway Association, for the second year in a row, hosted a panel in honor of Theatre in Our Schools month, focused on the benefits and impact of theatre education and drawing attention to the need for more access to quality theatre programs in and out of school for all students. Deeksha Gaur, Executive Director of TDF, Samara Berger, Director of Impact at Situation Project and Tia Powell Harris, Vice President of Education and Community Engagement at New York City Center all participated in a discussion moderated by NY1’s On Stage, Frank DiLella. The Broadway Association was also thrilled to welcome many former Roger Rees Award winners, Sophia O’Brien, Mateo Lizcano and Ryan Rodino join us, as well as a performance by 2023 Roger Rees and Jimmy Award winner, Lauren A. Marchand. A tremendous thank you to Susan Lee, Brian Curran and the entire Broadway Education Alliance for helping to plan this event.
