MARK YOUR CALENDAR!! BROADWAY ASSOCIATION CENTENNIAL CELEBRATION

The Broadway Association celebrated its 100th Anniversary at the Annual Awards Luncheon on Thursday, May 5, 2011 in the Broadway Ballroom of the Marriott Marquis.  Mayor Michael Bloomberg and former mayors Ed Koch, David Dinkins and Rudolph Giuliani were the Broadway Association's honorees for championing the restoration of Times Square.  In addition, the Association honored Helena Durst, Vice President of the Durst Organization, in recognition of her grandfather Seymour Durst (1914-1995) and his service to the Association as its Chairman from 1974-1988. Dan Lauria and Judith Light from the hit Broadway show LOMBARDI co-hosted and Tony-award winning actress Christine Ebersole performed.

Two charities, Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDs and the National September 11th Memorial and Museum, each received a donation from The Broadway Association for giving back to our community.
